Healthy Workers. Stronger Saskatchewan
The SASK WORK Initiative is a groundbreaking workplace research program led by the Canadian Institute for Safety, Wellness & Performance (CISWP) in partnership with the Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Board (WCB Saskatchewan) and WorkSafe Saskatchewan.
The initiative brings advanced workplace research directly to Saskatchewan worksites through a mobile research laboratory and state-of-the-art wearable sensor technology. By collecting objective, real-world data from workers performing their normal job duties, SASK WORK helps identify injury risks, understand workplace exposures, and develop practical solutions to improve worker health and safety across Saskatchewan.

The SASK WORK Initiative measures workplace demands and exposures where work actually happens.
Using advanced wearable sensors and mobile research technology, our research teams collect objective information on:
- Physical and biomechanical demands
- Ergonomic risk factors
- Fatigue and physiological strain
- Environmental exposures
- Job-specific workplace hazards
This information provides organizations with evidence-based insights that support injury prevention, workplace health, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bringing Research Directly to Saskatchewan Worksites
SASK WORK collects high-quality data directly at participating organizations throughout Saskatchewan.
Our mobile research laboratory travels to workplaces across the province, enabling measurements to be captured while workers perform their regular tasks in their normal work environment.
This approach provides a more accurate understanding of workplace demands and exposures while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.
